According to Huang Runqiu, China currently has a total of 56 nuclear power plants, of which 30 are in operation and 26 are under construction. According to the medium and long-term development plan for nuclear power, by 2020, the goal of operating 50 million kilowatts and 38 million kilowatts under construction will be reached, and the total number of units may reach 90.
