China becomes an IEA affiliate

    Our newspaper, Paris, November 19th. At the 2015 IEA Ministerial Conference on the 18th, China became a member of the IEA Alliance.


The International Energy Agency is composed of member states, alliance states and partner states. The theme of this conference is "Innovating for a Clean and Safe Future Energy". Ministers and senior officials from 29 IEA member countries and 9 partner countries attended the meeting on key issues related to energy and the future world energy system. Transform to discuss the threat of climate change.


At this meeting, the Director of the International Energy Agency, Fatih Birol, said that in the context of the global energy transition, the IEA's modernization process requires three pillars: first, open the door to emerging economies; Second, to broaden the core of energy security, we must consider the continuous development of the global oil market on the one hand, and include liquefied natural gas in the global energy trade on the other hand; and third, transform the International Energy Agency into a center of global clean energy technology and energy efficiency.
