In 2013, the Nuclear Safety Law officially entered the legislative planning of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress. It is understood that the Nuclear Safety Law can also fill gaps in China's nuclear safety legal system in related fields, such as compensation for nuclear accident damage, disclosure of nuclear safety information, and public participation. Public participation includes inviting officials and related persons at the site of the newly built nuclear power plant to visit the built nuclear power plant, and increasing public network publicity, which were previously ignored.
