A person familiar with the matter revealed that recently, the National Development and Reform Commission has formally applied to the State Council for approval of the launch of new nuclear power projects. Lv Xiulei, a senior analyst with CCXI, told reporters that the six units reported this time should belong to the three nuclear power plant projects of Hongyanhe, Shidaowan and Fuqing, with an installed capacity of about 7 million kilowatts.
Among them, the second phase of Liaoning Dalian Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Plant under the China National Nuclear Corporation intends to adopt the same technical scheme as the first phase project, namely CPR1000 improvement technology, to build two million-kilowatt pressurized water reactor nuclear power units with an installed capacity of about 2 million kilowatts.
The Shidaowan Nuclear Power CAP1400 demonstration project in Rongcheng, Shandong is a third-generation large-scale advanced pressurized water reactor technology with an installed capacity of about 3 million kilowatts. In addition, the project plan has been adjusted to "Hualong No. 1" third-generation technology of China Nuclear Group Fuqing Nuclear Power Units 5 and 6, with an installed capacity of about 2 million kilowatts.
