This is another success of the China Nuclear Group's nuclear power unit No. 1 following the integration of Fuqing Nuclear Power Unit 1 this year. At this point, China Nuclear Group's nuclear power generating units have reached 11. At the same time, it also marked the birth of the first million-kilowatt nuclear power unit in Zhejiang.


Yanfangjiashan Nuclear Power is an expansion project of a 300,000-kilowatt nuclear power unit at the Qinshan Nuclear Power Base. This grid-connected unit is the eighth unit of the Qinshan Nuclear Power Base. Its successful grid connection has achieved a historical leap in the independent development of nuclear power in China from 300,000 to 1 million kilowatts.


The Fangjiashan nuclear power project is jointly funded by China Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Energy Group Co., Ltd. with 72% holding and 28% equity participation, respectively. The installed capacity is 2 1.08 million kilowatts of pressurized water reactor nuclear power units. One of the most autonomous and domestically-produced nuclear power plants in the kilowatt-class nuclear power plant, the comprehensive localization rate of equipment has reached 80%. This project is contracted by China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd. It is one of the first nuclear power projects in China to adopt the most complete general contract construction mode.


Since the Fangjiashan nuclear power project started on December 26, 2008, Unit 1 has successively achieved important nodes such as civil construction, equipment installation, first loading, and first criticality. After the unit is connected to the grid, it will enter the state of trial operation with load, and it will be officially transported after obtaining the approval documents issued by relevant government departments.


It is reported that Fangjiashan Nuclear Power Project actively learns from the same type of domestic nuclear power construction experience and implemented 18 major technical improvements, including the use of advanced fuel assemblies, all digital instrumentation and control, nuclear island fire improvement, and the use of severe accidents that reflect the requirements of pressurized water reactors. Management countermeasures, etc. After the Fukushima nuclear accident in Japan, in accordance with the requirements of the National Nuclear Safety Administration, full consideration of various extreme disasters and other factors, 14 technical improvements were implemented to further improve the safety level of the unit.


At present, Fangjiashan Nuclear Power Unit 2 has entered the commissioning stage and is expected to be connected to the grid for power generation in the first half of 2015. After the 2 units of Fangjiashan Nuclear Power Project are completed and put into operation, the annual power generation will reach 15 billion kWh, the Qinshan Nuclear Power Base will reach 9 units, the total installed capacity will reach 6.546 million kilowatts, and the annual power generation will be about 50 billion kilowatt hours. It has become the nuclear power base with the largest number of nuclear power units, the most abundant reactor types and the largest installed capacity in China.


The Qinshan Nuclear Power Base, where the Fangjiashan Nuclear Power Project is located, is the birthplace of nuclear power in mainland China and the birthplace of China ’s nuclear power “going out” development strategy. Since the construction of the first nuclear power unit in mainland China started on March 20, 1985, after more than 30 years of construction and development, the Qinshan Nuclear Power Base has successfully realized "China's nuclear power starts here", "walking out of a nuclear power domestication path", "nuclear power "Project management is in line with international standards," and the historical leap in the independent development of China's nuclear power "from 300,000 kilowatts to 1 million kilowatts" has gradually formed safety and environmental protection, independent innovation, cluster management, talent cradle, cultural leadership, external services, public communication, The characteristics of Qinshan with the integration of enterprises and land have laid a solid foundation for China's nuclear power development and made a significant contribution. As of October 31, 2014, the Qinshan Nuclear Power Base has accumulated a total of 32.816 billion kilowatt-hours of safe power, which is equivalent to consuming about 105 million tons of standard coal, reducing 343 million tons of carbon dioxide and 228,800 tons of sulfur dioxide, equivalent to 933,100 tons Ha.
