Actively developing nuclear energy and advancing nuclear power engineering construction is an important development strategy for China's energy construction. Nuclear power is not only a priority choice for the development of a low-carbon economy, but it has also become an important symbol of strong country technology. At present, nuclear power generation accounts for about 17% of the world's total power generation. China has a total of 15 nuclear power plants in operation and 26 nuclear power plants under construction. Nuclear power accounts for less than 2% of total power generation. The "Medium and Long-Term Development Plan for Nuclear Power (2005-2020)" specifies that China will continue to increase the construction of nuclear power projects. By 2020, the installed capacity of nuclear power will increase to 86 million kilowatts. By 2050, nuclear power will reach 15% of China's primary power supply.

The high durability, long life and high safety of concrete provide technical support.


As a key basic raw material for nuclear power engineering construction, nuclear power cement is mainly used in key engineering parts such as nuclear islands and containment of nuclear power plants. It requires cement to have comprehensive properties such as high early strength, low hydration heat, and dry shrinkage. That is, nuclear power cement gathers early strength cement. , Medium heat cement, road cement and other multiple cement varieties, technical requirements in one, production is difficult. China's use of imported cement in Qinshan and Daya Bay nuclear power plants not only makes transportation inconvenient and costly, but also restricts the development of cement technology in China. Therefore, in the development of nuclear power cement, through the use of mineral optimization matching and trace doping technology, the synergy matching of nuclear power cement strength and hydration heat was achieved. Through the adjustment and control of key process parameters of the clinker calcining and calcining system, the 5000t / d new dry-process cement kiln was used to produce nuclear power cement for the first time. On the basis of summing up and condensing the results of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" project, the China National Institute of Building Materials Science and Engineering's United Nations nuclear power engineering design and construction units and cement manufacturers have jointly formulated the national standard "Portland Cement for Nuclear Power Engineering" to Guiding the production and application of nuclear power cement, meeting the urgent needs of China's nuclear energy resource development and nuclear power engineering construction, and achieving good economic and social benefits.


 The successful development of nuclear power cement has realized the organic combination of cement research and development and the requirements of major national engineering constructions, which is a typical embodiment of the China National Institute of Building Materials Science and Research's core philosophy of “leading technology and service construction”. At present, nuclear power cement has been successfully applied in many nuclear power projects such as Ling'ao Nuclear Power Station, Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station, Yangjiang Nuclear Power Station, Tianwan Nuclear Power Station, and Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Station, which has improved the concrete performance of nuclear power projects, reduced the adiabatic temperature rise of concrete, and has a good application effect. Obtained unanimous praise in the field of nuclear power engineering.
