It is reported that since the start of the world's first demonstration project (Fuqing Nuclear Power Unit 5) of "Hualong No. 1" in May this year, the construction of the project is in good condition and under control, and major milestones of the project have been achieved as planned. At present, Units 1 and 2 of Fuqing Nuclear Power have been put into commercial operation, with a cumulative power generation of 9.539 billion kWh. Fuqing Nuclear Power Units 3 and 4 are expected to achieve commercial operation in 2016 and 2017, respectively. After all 6 units of Fuqing Nuclear Power are completed and put into operation, it is estimated that the total annual power generation will exceed 50 billion kilowatt-hours, with an annual total output value of more than 20 billion yuan, driving the local economic growth to exceed 400 billion yuan and providing at least 30,000 jobs in the society Local economic growth and energy supply in the economic zone on the west side of the Straits provide strong guarantees.
The Fuqing Nuclear Power Project is jointly funded by China Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., Huadian Fuxin Energy Co., Ltd. and Fujian Investment and Development Group Co., Ltd. with 51% holding, 39% and 10% participation, and the planned installed capacity is 6 units.
