International Workshop on Nuclear Power Plant Materials and Reliability Held in Shenyang

From September 21 to 23, the 4th International Symposium on Materials and Reliability of Nuclear Power Plants was co-sponsored by the China Nuclear Energy Industry Association and the Institute of Metal Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Shenyang. 205 representatives from 69 units in the field of nuclear power plants at home and abroad attended the meeting. Wang Ruiping, Nuclear Power Evaluation Department of China Nuclear Energy Industry Association, and Yang Rui, Director of the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and others attended the meeting.
This meeting invited international experts from the United States, Japan, South Korea and other countries in the field of nuclear power plant materials to make a special report. At the same time, the conference also received more than 90 domestic papers and 45 publicity posters. At the meeting, the participants conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on the following topics: material problems in the research, design and manufacturing of important components of nuclear islands; on-site material damage during the operation of nuclear power plants; behavior and mechanism of environmental damage to materials in key components; Technologies to mitigate, protect, and monitor / detect material damage to nuclear power plants; assess the life, safety, and reliability of key components of nuclear power plants.
The International Symposium on Nuclear Power Plant Materials and Reliability is held every two years, which has a positive effect on promoting international exchanges in the field of nuclear power plant materials.
