Netease Technology News on November 27, Russia's Rosenergoatom is building a data center that will become Russia's largest and will use nuclear power.

It is reported that the data center is next to the Kalinin nuclear power plant. Engineers expect to provide 80 million watts of power for the data center's about 10,000 server racks. It is understood that the construction of the data center will cost approximately $ 975 million, and this does not include IT construction projects.

It is reported that only 10% of these racks are used by Rosenergoatom, and the rest will be open to consumer customers. Russia has strict legal requirements for data storage, that is, companies must store all data about Russian citizens in local data centers. Currently, Rosenergoatom has invited Facebook and Google to enter this nuclear power-supply data center in the future.
