From September 8th to 11th, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Power Reactor Information System (PRIS) seminar co-organized by the China Nuclear Energy Industry Association and the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations was successfully held in Wuhan, Hubei. The seminar was attended by 26 units and more than 40 representatives from China's National Atomic Energy Agency (CAEA), China Nuclear Energy Industry Association, and the domestic nuclear power industry.

This PRIS seminar is a research activity carried out under the framework of the IAEA Asian Nuclear Safety Network (ANSN). During the seminar, experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency and the French Electric Power Company gave detailed reports on the overview of the PRIS system, the introduction of the system template and its usage methods, and the submission and use of PRIS data. Statistical data export and other online hands-on exercises, and conducted full exchanges and discussions with relevant participants.

IAEA's PRIS system was created in the 1970s and is currently the world's most comprehensive and complete nuclear power reactor database. IAEA regularly issues related analysis reports and publications based on PRIS operating data and experience. Entrusted by the National Atomic Energy Agency and the China Nuclear Energy Industry Association, the Nuclear Power Operations Institute has been responsible for the submission, review, and routine maintenance of China's PRIS data since 2007. Through this seminar, it will help to ensure the compliance and completeness of PRIS data submission by all relevant units, and improve the utilization of PRIS data and information by all units in China, and further promote the development of PRIS work.
