In order to welcome the "World Book Day", on the afternoon of April 22nd, the Chamber of Commerce and the Jiaxing City Library Ancient Books and Documents Department organized a "Handmade Book Ticket Making" activity. Nearly 60 people, including 18 elementary students from Jiaxing Citizen Fengfeng Lantian School, volunteers from Zhejiang College of Tongji University, and relevant leaders of the Chamber of Commerce participated in the event.

This "book collection ticket" hand-made activity is the first new type of activity project carried out by the library's ancient books and local documentation department. Its independent creation and hand-made features are popular with readers. In the activity, the origin of "book tickets" and its related knowledge were first cut into, and the pair of students was informed about the history of "book tickets" by answering questions. The second step is to carry out the production activities and demonstrate the five processes of production: image selection, line drawing, stereotypes, coloring, and printing. In the process of selecting pictures, many children chose to make their own drawings and made their own "book collection tickets". The enthusiasm of the children was very high during the production process, and many children produced two works. In the rest of the links, children can't wait to participate, and volunteers and staff are also engaged in this creative fun.

The paired children also experienced VR virtual reality “deep sea travel” accompanied by the staff, watched the operation of 3D printers, watched 3D printed products, and experienced new technologies.

At the end of the event, many children did not care about receiving prizes and still invested in their own creations. The development of the event has cultivated students' passion for reading books, enhanced their feelings about books, and learned about the culture of reading books. The Chamber of Commerce will carry out pairs of children from time to time to enter the library to experience knowledge activities and enrich the connotation of seedling raising activities.
