The Dragon Boat Festival is the fifth day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar, also known as the Duanyang Festival and the Heavy Wu Festival. The Dragon Boat Festival is one of China's national holidays and has been included in the World Intangible Cultural Heritage List.

The Dragon Boat Festival originated in China. It was originally a festival for the Chinese people to get rid of disease and prevent epidemics. Before the Spring and Autumn Period of Wu Yue, there was a custom of holding tribal totem sacrifices in the form of a dragon boat race on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. Chinese Han people commemorate Qu Yuan's traditional festival.

In the Dragon Boat Festival, there are customs such as eating zongzi, drinking realgar wine, hanging calamus, wormwood, wormwood leaves, Xun Cangzhu, Bai Zhi, and dragon boat racing.
